Each month we offer timely ideas and techniques to help you compete and run your business more effectively. This detailed evaluation of the latest software to enhance business performance is provided by Brown Smith Wallace (BSW) only to members of “participating associations,” including FSPA.

Education

Association Seminars & Workshops

In concert with our annual conference and showcase (trade show), FSPA hosts at least four educational presentations for members. These typically address such topics as expanding market share in competition with larger companies, applying new technologies in business and principles of sound management, especially for closely-held family firms.

We Need Your Input Regarding Future Technician-Training Classes

The recently completed and first-ever FSPA sponsored Opteva ATM training class, conducted by eleven—year member, ATM Components & Technology, Inc., was a definite success. In order for FSPA to effectively plan for future training classes, we really need input from you, our members, regarding the types of training classes to conduct. Some options are:

  1. Timelock Technology
  2. Safe Deposit Box Lock Training
  3. Diebold I, IX & Opteva ATM Training
  4. NCR 5600 & 5800 Series ATM Training
  5. Triton ATM Training
  6. We are also considering putting on a class on the techniques of selling and managing service contracts.

We have tried, on more than one occasion, to get our hands around pneumatic tube training. However, this seems to be something that will be difficult to structure. Please send us any ideas you may have on this topic; they will be more than welcome.

A brief Training Survey Form is provided below. We would appreciate your completing and returning this form to the FSPA office by fax, mail or e-mail. Your input is extremely important and necessary in order for us to effectively plan for future technician-training classes. These classes are offered at a discount to FSPA members. FSPA also coordinates hotel accommodations at a group rate to make it extremely convenient to attend these classes.

Annual Software Guide

You are eligible for membership if:

  • Your firm serves financial institutions as a primary market, as a manufacturer; dealer (reseller); installation and service organization providing parts, supplies, replenishables and repairs; or as an associate member supplying software, business solutions and other “unique” products.
  • Your firm has been in business for at least one year; and
  • Your firm is sponsored by two existing members. (If you don’t know any members now, we’ll help you satisfy this requirement by providing introductions on request.)

To apply for membership, please download our online application form ,complete and fax it with the number provided on the form. A one-time fee ($150.00 for dealers and associates, or $200.00 for manufacturers) is required for application processing. Acceptance typically follows within two months, after notice of your application has twice appeared in the Members Only section of our monthly newsletter. Your membership will become formally active after payment of your first year's dues ($395, to be invoiced after acceptance). Your second year's dues will be pro-rated if your membership began during the course of a calendar year.

If you are paying your fees by credit card, please download, complete and include the credit card authorization form with your fax submission. For security reasons, and to help keep processing costs down, FSPA does not accept on-line payments via credit card. .
